Diploma in Mathematical Sciences with a Bachelor of Biomedicine except Bioengineering Systems Major
Below are possible course plans for 8 semesters (standard option). It is possible to overload and complete both the degree and the Diploma in 7 semesters (accelerated option), or 6 semesters provided some breadth subjects are completed during summer semester. The program will depend on the subjects completed in Year 12. Choose from the options below.
 Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Biomedicine taking the Diploma usually undertake an additional 75 to 100 points (6 to 8 subjects) of mathematics and statistics as well as the usual 300 points that make up an undergraduate degree.
 We assume that students choose at least one of their second year science options to be mathematics and statistics. Depending upon the major area of studies students may be able to choose a second option to be mathematics and statistics also. This second option would be cross credited to both the Diploma and the Bachelor degree.
 It is also assumed that students choose both of their 'free' options to be mathematics and statistics.
 In first year students do the two subjects Mathematics for Biomedicine and Experimental Design and Data Analysis (*see note) that do not count towards the Diploma, one in each semester according to whether or not the student completed Biology in their final year.
