Heritage options for students who enrolled prior to 2008
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers a variety of subjects at second, third and fourth year that are designed to prepare students for professional careers in mathematics and statistics, the pure and applied sciences, commerce, education, engineering, industry and technology, and the social sciences. Students who choose to major in mathematics and statistics as part of a BSc or BA study one area of mathematics and statistics in greater depth and, as well as having greater skills to take into the workplace, have the option of undertaking our fourth year (honours) followed by a postgraduate degree.
Please explore the heritage options from the menu on the left to help plan your studies.
Please see a member of staff in the Mathematics and Statistics Department if you need to discuss your future options.
Please refer to the Undergraduate Handbook for more complete information about course structure and subjects. More detailed information for currently enrolled students is available on our subject web pages.
