Options in Mathematics and Statistics for Third Year
To achieve a major in Mathematics and Statistics, students must take at least 50 points at third year level in one of the specialisations listed in the menu on the right. These specialisations continue on from the second year specialisations.
Subjects to complement other major areas of study are listed also.
Below is a list of third year heritage subjects offered by the Departmnet of Mathematics and Statistics. These subjects wll run for the last time in either 2009 or 2010. Thus students completing degrees after 2009 will need to take into account transition arrangements for mathematics and statistics subjects.
Please see a member of staff in the Mathematics and Statistics Department if you need to discuss your future options.
Please refer to the Undergraduate Handbook for more complete information about subjects. More detailed information for currently enrolled students is available on our subject web pages.
