Mathematics and Statistics Options in First Year

Mathematics and statistics are key disciplines in cutting edge research and technology at the frontiers of science, industry and commerce. Thus it forms an important component of the degree programs, Bachelor of Science (mathematics and statistics, physical sciences and engineering systems majors), Bachelor of Environments (systems and geomatics majors), Bachelor of Commerce (actuarial studies) and Bachelor of Biomedicine.

In addition students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Biomedicine, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Environments and Bachelor of Music may include mathematics and statistics subjects in their degrees as breadth subjects.
