Academic Honesty and Plagiarism
"The most important attribute that The University of Melbourne would like to see in its graduates is a profound respect for truth and for the ethics of scholarship. This is important because we want our graduates to be capable of independent thought, be able to do their own work, and to know how to acknowledge the work of others." Professor Peter McPhee, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic
We expect all students to visit University of Melbourne site on plagiarism and make sure that they are familiar with the University policy on this.
- In line with this policy we require that all students submit a separate Plagiarism Declaration Form for each subject in which they are enrolled in each semester. This will usually be submitted with their first assignment.
- Students must fill in all fields marked * for the form to be accepted.
- If a plagiarism form is not submitted the student will receive a mark of zero for their assignments.
